A Guide to Your ChatterHigh Teacher Dashboard

We’re thrilled you’ve joined ChatterHigh! If you haven’t created your account yet, click the button below and get started in just a few easy steps. Once you’re all set up, you’ll find that ChatterHigh is an engaging, time-saving tool that enhances your lessons, empowers students with essential life skills like financial literacy and mental health awareness, and boosts career readiness.

The Daily Quiz is a fan favourite—it takes only 12 minutes to complete, making it the perfect bell-ringer activity. Plus, during competition periods, your school often has the opportunity to earn rewards, which serves as a great incentive to keep students engaged.

Now that your account is created, let’s explore your teacher dashboard and all its amazing features!

1. View My Class

On the top-left side of your screen is your class management section. You are directed to the "My Classes" page where you can: 

• Create and Edit Classes: Add new classes or modify existing ones.
  
  
• Assignments: Assign Daily Quiz or Modules as self-marked assignments to complement your lesson plans.
  Note: Modules can be assigned with due dates.
  
• Track Student Progress: Monitor how your students are doing without the hassle of grading—it’s all automated for you!
  
  

2. Resources

On the top-right side of your screen, you'll find the "Resources" section. This includes everything you need to learn about ChatterHigh's features and how to use them.

• Tutorials: The tutorials page contains videos demonstrating how to use ChatterHigh, from setting up your teacher account to exploring interest reports, class challenges, and more.
  
  
• Lesson Plans and Learning Outcomes: Discover how ChatterHigh activities align with provincial curriculums. This page includes resources like the Daily Quiz lesson plan, student and teacher guides, and more.
  
  
• Activity Guides: Get detailed advice on rolling out Daily Quizzes, Courses and Modules. You’ll also find courses that offer certificates for students and sample interest reports to preview what students are working towards.

3. Competitions

ChatterHigh hosts various competitions throughout the year to help students build awareness on topics such as career pathways, financial literacy, and more. These competitions provide motivation and give schools and students opportunities to win exciting rewards.

In this section, you can:

• View any active competitions for your school.
• View any active or concluded competitions for your school when you visit the Competitions page. 

4. Challenges

With the “Challenges” feature, you can set up mini-competitions between classes in just seconds. Challenges are available only for the Daily Quiz, making it an engaging way to foster student participation in career exploration, whether within your school or against another school.

This section shows any active challenges and allows you to create new ones by clicking “Challenge Classes.”

5. My Activities

This is your shortcut to the two primary activities on ChatterHigh:

• Daily Quiz: Clicking on the Daily Quiz will direct you to the 10-question quiz. Yes, teachers can also participate to enhance their knowledge on various career topics and earn points!
  
  
• Courses & Modules: This section will direct you to the Mindful Modules page, where you can browse available courses and modules by topic, check out associated competitions, and see if any courses offer certificates.

6. Forums

Below the “My Activities” section is the “Forums” area, a moderated space where you can:

• Find answers to frequently asked questions.
• Start or join discussions with other educators.
  
  

Every post is reviewed by our moderators before going live to ensure a helpful and safe environment.

7. My Achievements

Track your progress and celebrate milestones in this section, which includes:

• Badges earned.
• Total and all-time points (redeemable for draws to win gift cards or for donations).
• Rankings, streak days, and bonus points.
  
  

It’s a great way to keep track of your progress and stay motivated as you see the stats change with each question answered.
