2021 Trendsetter in EdTech

Written by Janice Hewitt | 08 Apr, 2021

ChatterHigh is delighted to be recognized as a 2021 Trendsetter by EdTech Digest for our new Mindful Modules.

Designed to help meet the needs of remote learning and to deliver much-needed well-being content, the customizable modules will continue to serve teachers and students as education trends become more and more digital.

Already a leader in delivering career planning in a fun and accessible way, ChatterHigh decided to evolve the platform in the spring of 2020 to address the new realities brought on by COVID-19. The team recognized a need for tools that deliver curriculum and support well-being for an increasingly remote learning environment. Thus, the new “Mindful Modules” were born.

Student engagement is the biggest challenge educators face today. Having a simple, gamified and easily assessed digital content engagement platform is a critical tool in every district’s tool kit.

Digital Learning Modules to Support Mental Health and COVID-19 Awareness

Piloted in Florida after the Florida Department of Education legislated that districts must provide 5 hours of Mental Health education, the customized Mental Health and Wellness modules helped the district to meet the new requirement swiftly and efficiently. Module topics included mental health and wellness, mental health disorders, substance use prevention, and suicide prevention. Through these modules, students in Florida actively explored content and resources from leading national, state, and local mental health organizations. Plus, teachers and districts could monitor student progress and report on the success of the initiative.

As a result of this success, we invested in creating mental health and COVID-19 modules which have been made freely available across Canada and the U.S. Unique features even allowed districts to customize content by school and grade to ensure they were keeping students and teachers informed and safe.

These Mindful Modules provide a meaningful and measurable learning experience for a range of topics that are increasingly recognized as a crucial part of a student’s education. These modules are customizable and cover topics like mental health and wellness, COVID-19 prevention, physical health, financial literacy, work safety, college and career guidance, and more.

Our team at ChatterHigh is thrilled to be named an Edtech Awards finalist for our second time! These awards help us start the conversation with districts looking for the most innovative tools to solve the equity of access to information challenge facing students today.
